Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information The Professional Playground, LLC (“PPG,” “we,” “us”) collects through our website at theppg.llc, the PPG member app and PPG events, how we use it, and the choices you have. It works together with our Terms and Conditions.

The short version

  • We collect what you give us to run PPG: your account, profile, membership, reservations and the activity you log.
  • Contacts you save in the PPG app stay on your phone. We never receive them.
  • Texts and emails you send from the app go from your own phone, not through us.
  • We don’t sell your information, we don’t track you across other apps or websites, and the app doesn’t read your phone’s contacts, calendar, photos, other apps or location.
  • You can update your details, hide your profile from the directory, unsubscribe from the newsletter or delete your account at any time.

Information you give us

  • Account and profile: your name, email, phone, password (stored encrypted), company, title, industry, photo, bio, website and social links, and anything else you add to your profile or digital business card.
  • Membership and payments: your plan, dues dates and payment history. Payments are processed by PayPal; we never see or store your full card number.
  • PPG Fridays: reservations, guests you bring, and check-ins at the door.
  • Activity you log: referrals, one-to-ones, mentoring sessions, closed business (including values you enter, which only you and the PPG team see), milestones and nominations.
  • Introductions: when you record a warm introduction we keep who made it, which PPG members were introduced, how it was sent and whether they said they connected. Not the message, and nothing about people who aren’t members.
  • Meetings: meetings booked through your booking page, including the details people enter when they book you.
  • Who’s here: if you choose to show yourself at a PPG Friday, your name and the note you add, until the meeting ends. The list is deleted after each meeting.
  • Forms and applications: what you send us through website forms, presenter and Host Partner applications, and the newsletter sign-up.
  • Reports and blocks: if you report or block a member, we keep that so we can review it and keep the block in place.
  • Agreement records: when you agree to our Terms we record the date and time, the version, your IP address and your device type, as proof of the agreement.

What stays on your phone

The PPG app’s contact book (people you meet, their details, your tags, notes, follow-up dates and event history) and your history of introductions are stored only on your phone. When you scan a QR code or a business card, the camera image is read on your phone and isn’t uploaded or kept. If you back up your contact book, the backup file goes wherever you choose to save it. Deleting the app (or erasing the contact book in the app) removes this information from your phone.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our server records basic technical information (such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and to keep the site running. We use cookies to keep you logged in and remember your choices. We count, without identifying anyone, how often your digital business card is scanned or saved so we can show you those numbers. We don’t use advertising trackers.

How we use it

  • To run your membership, reservations, check-ins, booking page, digital business card and the member directory.
  • To show the parts of your profile you’ve made public to other members and visitors.
  • To recognize members (for example Featured Members and top connectors) and to understand how PPG is doing (for example attendance and introductions, in totals).
  • To send you emails about your membership, reservations and meetings, and the newsletter if you signed up for it.
  • To keep PPG safe and professional, enforce our Terms, and meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent your information. We share it only:

  • With other members and visitors, as you set up your public profile, directory listing and digital business card.
  • With service providers who help us run PPG, only as needed: our website host, PayPal (payments), Brevo (newsletter emails), and Sunrise Enterprise Solutions if your plan includes the Sunrise Hub.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of members, guests or PPG.
  • If PPG’s business is transferred, to the new owner, who must follow this policy.

Your choices

  • Edit your profile and card, or hide your profile from the member directory, on your member dashboard.
  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link at the bottom of any newsletter.
  • Block a member so you no longer see each other, or report a member to the PPG team.
  • Delete your account in the app (Me › Delete my account), on your member dashboard, or on our Delete your account page. We process requests within 30 days. We keep only what the law requires: payment records and your Terms agreement.
  • Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct it, by contacting us.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while you’re a member and until you delete your account. Payment records are kept as tax law requires, and Terms agreement records as long as needed to protect our legal rights. Who’s here lists are deleted after each meeting.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and encrypted passwords. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

PPG is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we’ll let members know about important changes.
